Valentine's day Tiramisú

Usually every year me and my mom have done some kind of cake or at least some baking for Valentine's day. In this year we had so much things to do. My mom was really busy so I had to do it all by myself. I didn't mind it but I love to bake with her.

We've read few different recipes how to make a tiramisú but we've done it always with our own way. Today I want to share this recipe, which enables I did this tiramisú yesterday. Before that though, a few funny facts. Tiramisú is an italian word meaning "raise me" which means like cheer me up. The name refers to an effect of caffeine which has been used as a spice. Another funny fact is that this is my first recipe post in my blog.

TIRAMISÚ

INGREDIENTS:

2 package (400 grams) of Savoiardi biscuits (Ladyfingers)

About 6 deciliters of strong cold coffee

1 package (400 grams) of mascarpone

5  deciliters of whipped cream

5 tablespoons of caster sugar

2 teaspoons of vanilla sugar

1 package (330 grams) of apricot marmalade

DECORATIONS:

little bit of dark chocolate

10 pink meringue balls

2 raspberry pastries

MANUFACTURING:

1. Take all the necessary ingredients up to your kitchen's table so they are available whenever you need them. Wash your hands and just start to bake.

2. Make about 6 deciliters of strong coffee. When the coffee is ready, move it to a hot-proof dish and let it cool. First of all I cooled it in a hot-proof dish in a cool water-filled vessel sink. When it wasn't hot anymore I put it in the fridge.

3. Whip the cream until it's stiff. Add both of the sugars during the whipping and finally after that add the mascarpone. With mascarpone the mixture becomes thick and it would be little bit hard to mix it. However, make it smooth.

4. Dip about half of the biscuits into a strong cold coffee one by one. If you want you can add little bit sugar into the coffee but it's not necessary. Pile the dipped biscuits to entire surface of a large dish side by side so the whole bottom is covered.

5. Add first into the dipped biscuits layer half of the apricot marmalade (about 165 grams) and after about half of the whipped cream (2 and half deciliters).

6. Dip the rest of the biscuits into a strong cold coffee one by one and pile the dipped biscuits. Then add rest of the apricot marmalade and the rest of the whipped cream. After all, make the topping look beautiful and flatted.

7.  Grate a bit of the dark chocolate. Split the middle the raspberry pastries. Arrange them in the middle of the cake. Then arrange the meringue balls around them. And finally, springle the chocolate so the whole white whipped cream bottom is covered.

8. Let the tiramisú retreat in the fridge to a next day. It's more tasty then. And just enjoy it with for example  a nice cup of coffee.

It was pretty easy to make it. The recipe was easy and I think it's easy to follow it. I hoped you liked it and let me know if you tried to make it.

January favourites

January is already behind us. So it's time to look back and see what favourites I had in this month.

I got as a Christmas present few makeup things that I'm loving. First one is my The Blushed Nudes® Eye Shadow Palette from Maybelline, New York. The palette consisting of twelve expertly curated eyeshadow shades, all in neutral tones. The emphasis here is on the blushed aspect, mostly meaning that these shades have more rose and pink tones to them. This palette is extremely similar to Urban Decay’s Naked 3 Palette, which is primarily cool and rosy toned like this one. I love a lot rose gold and I have been using this palette almost every day in my daily makeup. As you can probably see from my palettes look. The most to my movable eyelid I have been using the rose gold shade. I have been doing my eyeliner with the darkest sparkling black shade. And to inner corners of my eyes I have been using one of the lightest pink shade. I got it as a early Christmas present box where was also a Last Sensational black mascara from also Maybelline, New York. It wasn't really expensive with the mascara on the box. The whole box cost only 21,90 € (euro).

Next product is Lingerie Liquid Lipstick from NYX in a shade of  06 - Push-Up. I like to wear a lot nude shades in my lips in now days so this shade is just perfect for me. It's a very light lipstick which gives an elegant plush with matte finish. It's coating the curves of my lips with irresistibly creamy but at the same time a light colour. I have been putting sometimes two coats of it and it's been a bit darker colour.

Next one is Lovely perfume by Sarah Jessica Parker. My mom bought it for me on Christmas. It's really soft but at the same time a bit sharp. So just few spray of it will be enough. It opens with soft citruses (nectarine and bergamot) and woody (rosewood notes, with a touch of lavender. I have been using it a lot.

Here in Finland is still very cold weather and my nordic face is not liking it at all. The skin on my legs and hands have been very dry. After a hot shower I must have been using some moisturizing body lotion. I'm a big fan of Playboy stuff and I have been absolutely loving this Playboy VIP moisturizing body lotion.  The scent of it, it's really great and the cream is not too heavy. It's very light and it's been really good to spread it. It also have been giving to my skin some sparkles which I'm loving too.

Next favourite is Mansester's new album Maskin alta and especially a song from it called Katso mua (Look at me). You can find that song on Spotify as well as the whole album. I like it a lot and that's why I recommend you all to listen it.

Here is a link to Spotify: http://bit.ly/maskinaltaspotify

I haven't been watching that much movies but the movies I have been watching and liking are A dog walker's Christmas tale (Oh yes I watch Christmas movies through the whole year) and One for the money. I also have been watching little bit Bill Burr's stand-up show which my friend recommended to me. It's really funny. It's one of the Netflix's original things.

I listen a lot of music daily and in this month I have been listening the most songs called Don Omar - Los Bandoleros, Mansesteri - Katso mua, Maanes - Calor and Zack Knight - Enemy.

These was all my favourites from this month. Of course there is some other products, music and other stuff which I have been liking but these I wanted to take in this post. I will be doing this kind of post in every month.

Good night -routines

It's been awhile since I did a post about my morning routines. So in this post I will share my night routines even though I don't really have any actual night routines. But like this I usually spend my nights before the Sandman has given to me enough "sleeping sand" and I feel sleepy.

Let's start with a fact that I'm usually going to bed really late. I should sleep about eight hours in a night but I'm just sleeping about five or six hours. I know it's not enough for me. But on weekends and day offs I'm trying to sleep the missing hours back. My sleeping habits are messed up and I can't get any sleep early in the night.

In the early evening I'm starting to get more relaxed. I for example watch some Youtube videos, write a blog and just be with Bruno.

Later when I feel little hungry I'm going to eat a supper. In the evenings, before bed it's important to eat a light supper. I'm usually just taking a yogurt, bread and a some fruit, a banana or an apple. After eating I'm going out with Bruno and then I'm brushing his fur. I'm doing that every day because by doing it I'm avoiding tangles which he sometimes have in his long haired fur.

Then it's time to go to take a hot relaxing shower. Usually I'm there about 10 - 15 minutes. I need to take a shower once in a day. Otherwise I will feel that my hairs are not clean. I shouldn't wash my hairs every day but I just need to do it anyways. After taking my shower I'm just taking care of my face and skin. I have some routines for them also and I will be sharing it all later.

Then in my night clothes (sometimes pyjama) I'm on my phone, checking my social medias (Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ramona.nyman/ , Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFIkWq2x0Z5p7SABt9dvzRg and Snapchat: ramonanyman). I'm also just watching some videos and different tv shows via my phone. I have noticed that watching videos make me sleepy. I don't know why though.

I'm not usually going to bed if I don't feel sleepy. But if the clock is too much I have to. At about 00.00 - 1.00am I'm putting my phone off and I'm starting to sleep.
